30 patterns, 30 communication strategies, 60 students, 1 company, 1 university course: these numbers tell the story of the collaboration that took place between the Italian Lifestyle course and the Mario Sirtori company in academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, during which lecturers Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis, Lorenzo Morganti, Nicoletta Di Gaetano, Manuela Bonaiti and Eugenia Chiara guided the students from Politecnico di Milano on a journey between the past and the future of Made in Italy.
Over the course of two consecutive years, the textile company Mario Sirtori was the subject of a case study by the Italian Lifestyle course of Politecnico di Milano. In the first year, the students worked on the production of faux plain and outdoor patterns which the company itself then put into production, while in the second year the students concentrated on digital communication strategies to promote the company in the national and international markets.
In both courses, the students visited Mario Sartori to gain an understanding of its production and marketing dynamics. Mario Sartori is a jewel in the crown of a Made in Italy that has always been at the cutting edge over the years.
